Metal Worker
Zim Sailing/Dwyer Mast & Rigging is adding staff in our Metal Shop. You’ll be joining a small team (5-7 people), who are producing aluminum and metal parts for small sailboats.
We need experienced workers who can run a Bridgeport, small presses, drill holes, install hardware (rivets, through-bolts), use jigs - and generally can figure things out. This is an old fashioned, hands on, manual job – we don’t have rows of CNC machines. We’re looking for hardworking people with good pace and motivation.
Job duties include:

Operating Shop Machines - Bridgeports, Drill Presses

Using Hand Tools to drill into and cut material

Read prints to accurately assemble masts/booms and associated parts

Installing hardware – bolts, rivets, machine screws

Cutting metal – chop saws, band saws, etc
Skills Required:

Attention to detail

Experience in machine shop or similar environment

Ability to read prints

Willingness to work hard and efficiently
Preferred Skills:

Aluminum & Stainless Steel welding
Compensation & Benefits

$19-22/hr

BlueCross BlueShield Health Insurance: $46-52/week

PTO: 2 weeks for the first 5 years, then 3 weeks + paid holidays, sick time.
