Dwyer Mast & Rigging manufactures high-quality sailboat masts, booms, hardware, and rigging. Originally founded in 1963 as Dwyer Aluminum Mast Company, the legacy continues as an OEM supplier by taking advantage of improved manufacturing methods to offer a wide range of products and services for the marine industry.

Our Bristol location is seeking a full time, experienced customer support professional to join our
team.


About the Role
The Zim Sailing and Dwyer Mast Customer Support Associate relies on their deep dinghy sailing knowledge and familiarity with the one design classes we support to provide exceptional customer service to our customers. Whether by phone, email, text, or in person in our showroom this role prioritizes prompt follow-through on all inquiries and takes responsibility for resolving customer or order issues – to help our customers get on the water.


This position is part of a national team of Customer Support professionals at Starting Line Sailing companies. This is an in person role in our Bristol, Rhode Island office, with typical schedule of Mnday - Friday 8am to 5pm.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Works with our customers via phone, email, text, and in our retail showroom.
  • Provides empathetic, knowledgeable, and prompt customer service.
  • Ensures timely follow through on all customer inquiries.
  • Resolves order issues and communicates with internal teams, while keeping the
    customer informed about their order.
  • Dialogues with production and fulfillment teams to ensure timely dispatch of orders.

Skills You Should Have:

  • A background in sailing, particularly dinghy sailing. Experience with the specific one
    design classes we support is a big plus.
  • At least a couple of years of experience working with customers by phone and email, or in an equivalent customer facing role.
  • Be organized, efficient, and driven to provide exceptional customer support.
  • Familiarity with software systems, digital tools, and technology.
  • Attention to detail plus the ability to speak and write clearly and professionally.
  • The ability to learn new processes & adopt technology quickly.
  • The ability to become a subject matter expert in our products and services.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Comfortable working independently and also collaboratively across teams.
