Zim Sailing's CFJ SCV (West Coast Style) sailboats are built to meet the challenging demands of college, high school, camps, and other institutional programs.

These boats are CFJ class legal and approved for all PCCSC and PCICSA competitions.

This CFJ SCV doesn’t have a spinnaker (our Club CFJ does) and features a West Coast-style through-the-transom rudder head and tiller.

Hull and Deck

• Tapped aluminum backing plates support all through-deck-mounted hardware glassed to the boat's inside, eliminating inspection ports.
• All flanges and hull-to-deck joints are bonded with Plexus methyl methacrylate structural adhesive to eliminate leaks and hull/deck separation. This is the most potent bonding agent on the market, and Zim is the only company that can use it to bond its boats. 
• Three stringers have been applied to the cockpit floor for added stiffness and to provide the perfect platform for skippers and crews to step across the boat for perfect maneuvers.
• Elastomeric urethane bow bumpers come on this boat and are the industry standard for increased durability.
• One-piece high-density urethane gasket retainer with cloth gaskets to increase durability and allow for easy maintenance.
• A standard duty rub rail is installed on this boat for durability.

Hardware

• Harken carbo blocks for the mainsheet and the jib sheets 
• The tennis ball transom bailer is connected to an eye strap on the keelson for easy closure.
• 4:1 Harken Vang system allows crews to adjust easily during team racing.
