Job Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities: Sales Support and Operations Support
Sales & Customer Service Support
This role includes a variety of tasks that help support the sales goals of the business. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Numbering sails
- Providing customer service
- Transactional sales support (order entry, invoicing, quote creation)
- Answering phones and making cold calls
- Email support
- Order fulfillment
- Aftermarket sales support
Operations Support
This position also involves operational responsibilities, such as:
- Loading trucks
- Assisting with customer pickups
- Picking, packing, and shipping orders
- Prepping boat orders
- Performing rigging and assembly work to prepare parts and boats for customer delivery
Marketing Support
Tasks that may contribute to the marketing initiatives of the business include:
- Managing social media accounts and ads
- Email marketing
- Creating digital content
- Assisting with team gear distribution
- Supporting the e-commerce platform
Retail Store & Merchandising
This role may involve overseeing the retail space and engaging with walk-in customers. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting customers with product selection and sizing of soft goods
- Picking parts orders for in-store customers
- Handling customer pickups for online or phone orders
- Merchandising: hanging and organizing soft goods, restocking shelves, and ensuring products are attractively displayed and accessible
Event Support
- Attending local events using our mobile retail units
- Selling parts and gear on-site
- Supporting charter events
Technology & Tools
Daily use of business technologies will be required, including but not limited to:
- Google Workplace (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets)
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Acumatica
- Square Point of Sale
This role requires flexibility between office and warehouse environments. Additionally, all Zim employees are expected to collaborate and assist Dwyer employees as needed, and vice versa.
Skills and Qualifications
- Attention to detail.
- Positive attitude, a problem solver.
- Willingness to work hard in a physical job.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (sailboats, parts, etc.)
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly Pay depending on experience

We’re the largest manufacturer and retailer of small sailboats in North America, with physical locations in Oregon and Rhode Island, and staff in four additional states.
Job Type
Full Time, 40 hours per week.
Location
In Person in Bristol, Rhode Island. Ability to Commute or Ability to Relocate (before start) is required.
